This list covers special investment products whose return is driven by a market index rather than by any single company. Index-linked notes and similar exchange-traded structured products belong here.
Compared with company-based products these remove single-name risk, but they introduce their own considerations — chiefly how the index return is measured and what happens at the extremes.

Most index-linked products track the price return of an index, excluding dividends. Over a multi-year term the omitted dividends are a substantial part of what the index actually delivered, and that gap is a large share of how the product is funded.
Compare the product's payoff against a total-return investment in the same index before concluding it offers a better deal.
Participation is usually capped above a stated level, and downside protection, where offered, applies only within a buffer or above a barrier. Below the barrier, losses are typically full and immediate.
As with all structured products, the payment obligation belongs to the issuing institution. You hold that institution's unsecured credit however the index performs.
QuantumOnline has tracked exchange-traded income securities since 1997. Every security in this list is researched and maintained by hand from the issuer's prospectus and SEC filings, not scraped from a vendor feed. Where a figure is unavailable we show "n.a." rather than guessing.
Information is believed to be accurate but is not guaranteed, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell. Always confirm terms against the issuer's prospectus before investing.
