This is a list of the special purpose acquisition companies QuantumOnline tracks. A SPAC is a blank-check company with no operations: it raises money in an IPO, holds the proceeds in a trust account, and then has a limited window — usually 18 to 24 months — to find and merge with a private operating business.
SPACs appear on an income-investing site for one specific reason. Before a merger is completed, a SPAC is effectively a short-dated Treasury holding with a redemption right, and that has occasionally made it a cash-equivalent instrument rather than a speculation.

IPO proceeds sit in a trust invested in short-term Treasuries. Shareholders have the right to redeem their shares for a pro-rata share of that trust — typically around $10 plus accrued interest — either when a merger is put to a vote or if the SPAC fails to complete one in time.
This creates a floor. A SPAC trading below its trust value offers a defined return to redemption, backed by Treasuries, with the merger upside retained at no cost. That arbitrage is why some income investors follow the sector.
The floor exists only while the redemption right does. Once a merger completes and you have not redeemed, you hold ordinary equity in the acquired business with no trust backing and no floor whatsoever. Post-merger performance across the sector has been poor.
Warrants attached to SPAC units are a separate instrument with no trust claim; they expire worthless if no merger occurs or if the shares never exceed the exercise price.
The sponsor typically receives founder shares equal to about 20% of the post-IPO share count for a nominal amount. That dilution is borne by public shareholders who stay through the merger, and it is the main structural reason post-merger returns have disappointed.
QuantumOnline has tracked exchange-traded income securities since 1997. Every security in this list is researched and maintained by hand from the issuer's prospectus and SEC filings, not scraped from a vendor feed. Where a figure is unavailable we show "n.a." rather than guessing.
Information is believed to be accurate but is not guaranteed, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell. Always confirm terms against the issuer's prospectus before investing.
