Fund Description: Vanguard Global ex-U.S. Real Estate ETF is an exchange-traded index fund or Index ETF which is a separate investment portfolio of the Vanguard International Equity Index Funds, an investment management company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: Vanguard Global ex-U.S. Real Estate Index Fund seeks to track the performance of the S&P Global ex-U.S. Property Index. INDEX DESCRIPTION: The S&P Global ex-U.S. Property Index is a freefloat-adjusted, market-capitalization-weighted index that measures the equity market performance of international real estate stocks in both developed and emerging markets. The Index is composed of stocks of publicly traded equity real estate investment trusts (known as REITs) and real estate operating companies (known as REOCs). FUND STRATEGY: The Fund employs a passive management or indexing investment approach designed to track the performance of the Index. The Fund attempts to replicate the Index by investing all, or substantially all, of its assets in the stocks that make up the Index, holding each stock in approximately the same proportion as its weighting in the Index. FUND MANAGEMENT: The Vanguard Group, Inc. serves as advisor to the Fund.
