Fund Description: Invesco Municipal Opportunity Trust formerly the Invesco Van Kampen Municipal Opportunity Trust, formerly the Van Kampen Municipal Opportunity Trust, is an exchange-traded closed-end fund or a closed-end ETF that is officially described as a diversified, closed-end management investment company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The Invesco Municipal Opportunity Trust seeks to provide a high level of current income exempt from federal income tax, consistent with preservation of capital. TRUST STRATEGY: The Trust seeks to achieve the investment objective by investing primarily in municipal securities that are rated BBB or higher by Standard & Poor’s (S&P) or Baa or higher by Moody’s at the time of purchase. Municipal securities include long-term obligations (municipal bonds), short-term municipal notes, participation certificates, municipal leases and tax-exempt commercial paper. The Trust invest in sectors, such as hospital, airports, general purpose, wholesale electric and utilities. TRUST MANAGEMENT: Invesco Advisers, Inc. serves as the investment advisor to the Trust.
