Fund Description: Invesco Trust for Investment Grade Municipals, formerly the Invesco Van Kampen Trust for Investment Grade Municipals, formerly the Van Kampen Trust for Investment Grade Municipals, is an exchange-traded closed-end fund or a closed-end ETF that is officially described as a diversified, closed-end management investment company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The Invesco Van Kampen Trust for Investment Grade Municipals seeks to provide a high level of current income exempt from federal income tax, consistent with preservation of capital. TRUST STRATEGY: The Trust will invest substantially all of its assets in municipal securities rated investment grade at the time of investment. The Trust seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in municipal securities that are rated BBB or higher by Standard & Poor’s (S&P) or Baa or higher by Moody’s at the time of purchase. Municipal securities include long-term obligations (municipal bonds), short-term municipal notes, participation certificates, municipal leases, and tax-exempt commercial paper.
