Fund Description: Columbia Seligman Premium Technology Growth Fund, formerly Seligman Premium Technology Growth Fund, is an exchange-traded closed-end fund or a closed-end ETF that is officially described as a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. <p> INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The Columbia Seligman Premium Technology Growth Fund seeks growth of capital and current income. <p> FUND STRATEGY: Under normal market conditions, the Fund intends to invest at least 80% of its managed assets in a portfolio of equity securities of technology and technology-related companies. Although the Fund will invest primarily in U.S. companies, the Fund may invest up to 25% of its managed assets in companies organized outside of the United States. The Fund will also use a call option writing strategy. In addition to the Fund’s core holdings in technology and technology-related companies, the Fund will seek to cushion downside volatility and produce current income by utilizing certain options strategies. This will consist primarily of writing call options on the NASDAQ-100 Index or an equivalent exchange-traded fund (ETF) on a month-to-month basis with an aggregate notional amount typically ranging from 25% to 90% of the underlying value of the Fund's holdings of common stock. <p> FUND MANAGEMENT: Columbia Management Investment Advisers, LLC is the Investment Manager to the Fund.
