Business: Standard Energy Corporation's principal business is, and historically has been, the acquisition of unproven oil and gas leaseholds, primarily with the intent of reselling such leaseholds to third-parties. Historically, the Company has acquired primarily federal oil and gas leaseholds through the Bureau of Land Management's ("BLM") leasing program. The Company also obtains leases through purchases in competitive bidding programs offered by various state agencies, principally the States of Utah and Wyoming.
