Fund Description: Nationwide Risk-Managed Income ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund or Actively Managed ETF which is a separate investment portfolio of the ETF Series Solutions, an open-end investment management company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The Nationwide Risk-Managed Income ETF seeks seeks current income with downside protection. The Fund is an actively managed ETF and thus, does not seek to replicate the performance of a specific index, but rather uses an active investment strategy to meet its investment objective, however, an actively managed ETF may have an index-based benchmark. Accordingly, the ETF’s investment sub-advisor,has discretion on a daily basis to actively manage the Fund’s portfolio in accordance with the Fund’s investment objective and investment policies. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective principally by investing in a portfolio of the stocks included in the Nasdaq-100 Index and an options collar (i.e., a mix of written (sold) call options and long (bought) put options) on the Nasdaq-100. INDEX DESCRIPTION: The Nasdaq-100 Index is a market capitalization weighted index comprised of the securities of 100 of the largest non-financial companies listed on The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC based on their market capitalization. Such securities may include companies domiciled domestically or internationally (including in emerging markets), and may include common stocks, ordinary shares, depositary receipts representing interests in non-U.S. companies, and tracking stocks. FUND STRATEGY: The Fund seeks to generate high current income on a monthly basis from a combination of the dividends received from the Fund’s equity holdings and the premiums earned from the options collar. The options collar seeks to generate a net-credit, meaning that the premium received from the sale of the call options will be greater than the cost of buying the protective put options. The options collars is intended to reduce the Fund’s volatility and provide a measure of downside protection. The Fund will generally use a replication strategy to invest in the Index, meaning the Fund will generally invest in all of the component securities of the Index in the same approximate proportions as in the Index. However, the Fund may use a representative sampling strategy, meaning it may invest in a sample of the securities in the Index whose risk, return, and other characteristics closely resemble the risk, return, and other characteristics of the Index as a whole. The Fund’s sub-adviser generally utilizes a proprietary, systematic model to manage the Fund’s options positions in an objective, rules-based manner, although the sub-adviser may actively manage the written call options prior to expiration to potentially capture gains and minimize losses due to the movement of the Index. FUND MANAGEMENT: Nationwide Fund Advisors serves as the Adviser to the Fund. Harvest Volatility Management, LLC serves as the Sub-Advisor to the Fund.
