Fund Description: VanEck Vectors Morningstar International Moat ETF, formerly Market Vectors Morningstar International Moat ETF, is an exchange-traded index fund or Index ETF which is a separate investment portfolio of the VanEck Vectors ETF Trust, an open-end investment management company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The VanEck Vectors Morningstar International Moat ETF seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Morningstar Global ex-US Moat Focus Index. INDEX DESCRIPTION: The Morningstar Global ex-US Moat Focus Index is comprised of securities issued by companies that Morningstar, Inc. (the Index Provider) determines have sustainable competitive advantages based on a proprietary methodology that considers quantitative and qualitative factors (wide and narrow moat companies). Wide moat companies are those that the Index Provider believes will maintain its competitive advantage(s) for at least 20 years. Narrow moat companies for at least 10 years. Wide and narrow moat companies are selected from the universe of companies represented in the Morningstar Global Markets ex-US Index (the Parent Index), a broad market index representing 97% of developed ex-US and emerging markets market capitalization. The Index targets a select group of equity securities of wide and narrow moat companies that are the most attractively priced as of the quarterly rebalance. The Index Provider utilizes a momentum screen and a momentum signal to determine the 50 companies to be included in the Index. Wide and narrow moat companies may include medium-capitalization companies. The Index was concentrated in the financial services sector and each of the basic materials and consumer discretionary sectors and the real estate industry represented a significant portion of the Index, which may change over time. FUND STRATEGY: The Fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities that comprise the Fund’s Index. The Fund, using a passive or indexing investment approach, attempts to approximate the investment performance of the Index by investing in a portfolio of securities that generally replicates the Index. FUND MANAGEMENT: Van Eck Associates Corp. serves as the investment adviser to the Fund.
