Fund Description: VanEck Vectors Mortgage REIT Income ETF, formerly Market Vectors Mortgage REIT Income ETF, is an exchange-traded index fund or Index ETF which is a separate investment portfolio of the VanEck Vectors ETF Trust, an open-end investment management company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The VanEck Vectors Mortgage REIT Income ETF seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Market Vectors Global Mortgage REITs Index. INDEX DESCRIPTION: The Market Vectors Global Mortgage REITs Index is a rules-based index intended to track the overall performance of publicly traded mortgage REITs. The Index is comprised of stocks of publicly traded U.S. mortgage REITs that derive at least 50% of their revenues from mortgage-related activity. A mortgage REIT makes loans to developers and owners of properties and invests primarily in mortgages and real estate interests and includes companies or trusts that are primarily engaged in the purchasing or servicing of commercial or residential mortgage loans or mortgage-related securities, which may include mortgage-backed securities issued by private issuers and those issued or guaranteed by U.S. Government agencies, instrumentalities or sponsored entities. The Index may include small-capitalization and mid-capitalization companies. FUND STRATEGY: The Fund normally invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities that comprise the Index by investing in a portfolio of securities that generally replicates the Index. The Fund, using a passive or indexing investment approach, attempts to approximate the investment performance of the Index. The Fund will concentrate its investments in the real estate sector, FUND MANAGEMENT: Van Eck Associates Corporation serves as the Investment Adviser to the Fund. The Portfolio Managers will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Fund.
