Fund Description: VanEck Vectors Agribusiness ETF, formerly, The Market Vectors - Agribusiness ETF, is an exchange-traded index fund or Index ETF which is a separate investment portfolio of the VanEck Vectors ETF Trust, an open-end investment management company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The VanEck Vectors Agribusiness ETF seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the MVIS Global Agribusiness Index, formerly Market Vectors Global Agribusiness Index, formerly DAXglobal Agribusiness Index. INDEX DESCRIPTION: The MVIS Global Agribusiness Index includes equity securities of companies that generate at least 50% of their revenues from (or, in certain circumstances, have at least 50% of their assets related to) agri-chemicals, animal health and fertilizers, seeds and traits, farm/irrigation equipment and farm machinery, aquaculture and fishing, livestock, cultivation and plantations (including grain, oil palms, sugar cane, tobacco leafs, grapevines, etc.) and trading of agricultural products. Such companies may include small- and medium-capitalization companies and foreign and emerging market issuers. FUND STRATEGY: The Fund will normally invest at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities of U.S. and foreign companies primarily engaged in the business of agriculture. The Fund, utilizing a passive or indexing investment approach, attempts to approximate the investment performance of the Index by investing in a portfolio of securities that generally replicate the Index. The Adviser anticipates that, generally, the Fund will hold all of the securities which comprise the Index in proportion to their weightings in the Index. However, under various circumstances, it may not be possible or practicable to purchase all of those securities in these weightings. In these circumstances, the Fund may purchase a sample of securities in the Index. There also may be instances in which the Adviser may choose to overweight another security in the Index, purchase securities not in the Index which the Adviser believes are appropriate to substitute for certain securities in the Index or utilize various combinations of other available investment techniques in seeking to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Index. The Fund may sell securities that are represented in the Index in anticipation of their removal from the Index or purchase securities not represented in the Index in anticipation of their addition to the Index. FUND MANAGEMENT: Van Eck Associates Corp. serves as the investment adviser to the Fund.
Notes: May 1, 2016 -- VanEck today rolled out the unification of its businesses and investment offerings under a single brand: VanEck.
