Fund Description: Vanguard Mega Cap Value Index ETF is an exchange-traded index fund or Index ETF which is a separate investment portfolio of the Vanguard World Fund, an investment management company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: Vanguard Mega Cap Value Index ETF seeks to track the performance of the CRSP U.S. Mega Cap Value Index, formerly MSCI US Large-Cap Value Index. INDEX DESCRIPTION: The CRSP U.S. Mega Cap Value Index, formerly MSCI US Large-Cap Value Index is a free-float adjusted, market-capitalization-weighted index designed to measure equity market performance of large-capitalization value stocks. FUND STRATEGY: The Fund employs a passive management or indexing investment approach designed to track the performance of the Index, which represents the value companies of the Index. The Fund attempts to replicate the target index by investing all, or substantially all, of its assets in the stocks that make up the Index, holding each stock in approximately the same proportion as its weighting in the Index. The Fund invests mainly in large-capitalization stocks of U.S. companies considered to have above-average earnings growth potential and reasonable stock prices in comparison with expected earnings.
