Fund Description: MFS Charter Income Trust is an exchange-traded closed-end fund or a closed-end ETF which is officially described as a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The Fund's investment objective is to maximize current income. FUND STRATEGY: The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing in investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds, U.S. government securities, and international investment-grade and emerging markets debt. The Fund's investment portfolio is approximately one-third in U.S. government securities and related options, one-third foreign government securities, and one-third high-yield corporate bonds. FUND MANAGEMENT: Massachusetts Financial Services Company (“MFS”) is the investment advisor of the Fund and also provides administrative and other services to the Fund.
