Fund Description: iShares U.S. Energy ETF, formerly iShares Dow Jones U.S. Energy Sector Index Fund, is an exchange-traded index fund or Index ETF which is a separate investment portfolio of the iShares Trust, an open-end investment management company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The iShares U.S. Energy ETF seeks investment results that correspond to the performance of U.S. energy stocks as reflected by the Dow Jones U.S. Oil & Gas Index. INDEX DESCRIPTION: The Dow Jones U.S. Oil & Gas Index is a subset of the Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index. The Index includes companies in the following sectors: oil and gas producers and oil equipment, services and distribution. The component stocks are weighted according to the total market value of their outstanding shares. FUND STRATEGY: The Fund pays out dividends to investors at least annually and may pay them on a more frequent basis. The Fund distributes its net capital gains, if any, to investors annually. FUND MANAGEMENT: BlackRock Fund Advisors (BFA) serve as the investment advisor to the Fund.
