Fund Description: Daxor Corporation is an investment company with a fully-owned medical diagnostic operating division which is the company’s primary focus. They manufacture the BVA-100 Blood Volume Analyzer, the first instrument approved by the FDA to provide rapid direct measurement of a patient's blood volume. They believe that the BVA-100 Blood Volume Analyzer has the potential to transform therapy in a broad range of surgical and medical conditions. Their goal, working in conjunction with hospitals and clinics, to achieve that possibility. The Company’s investment policy is to maintain a minimum of 80% of its portfolio in electric utilities. The Board of Directors has authorized this minimum to be temporarily lowered to 70% when management deems it to be necessary or advisable. Investments in non-utility stocks will generally not exceed 20% of the value of the portfolio. The Company also engages in the short selling of stock and uncovered calls.
