Business: Danaos Corporation is a leading international owner of containerships, chartering vessels to many of the world's largest liner companies. They currently have a fleet of 58 containerships aggregating 340,365 TEU, making them among the largest containership charter owners in the world. They charter their containerships to a geographically diverse group of liner companies, including most of the largest ones globally. Such customers include Maersk, CMA-CGM, Yang Ming, China Shipping, Hanjin, ZIM, MSC, Niledutch and Hyundai Merchant Marine Co. Their containerships are deployed under multi-year, fixed-rate time charters that range from less than one to 18 years for vessels in their current fleet, which provides them with stable cash flows and high utilization rates. A substantial part of their chartering operations is carried out through their Hamburg offices, while their two offices based in Ukraine assist their Crewing department with the task of globally coordinating manning of their vessels.
