Fund Description: Calamos Convertible Opportunities and Income Fund is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The Fund seeks total return through a combination of capital appreciation and current income by investing in a diversified portfolio of convertible securities and below-investment-grade (high-yield) fixed-income securities. FUND STRATEGY: Under normal circumstances, the Fund will invest at least 80% of its managed assets in a diversified portfolio of convertible securities and non-convertible income securities. The portion of the Fund's assets invested in convertible securities and non-convertible income securities will vary from time to time consistent with the Fund's investment objective, changes in equity prices and changes in interest rates and other economic and market factors, although, under normal circumstances, the Fund will invest at least 50% of its managed assets in convertible securities. A substantial portion of the Fund's assets may be invested in below investment grade (high yield, high risk) securities. Below investment grade (high yield, high risk) securities are rated Ba or lower by Moody's Investors Service, Inc. or BB or lower by Standard & Poor's or are unrated securities of comparable quality as determined by the Fund's investment adviser. Below investment grade securities are commonly referred to as "junk bonds" and are considered speculative with respect to the issuer's capacity to pay interest and repay principal. They involve greater risk of loss, are subject to greater price volatility and are less liquid, especially during periods of economic uncertainty or change, than higher rated debt securities. FUND MANAGEMENT: Calamos Asset Management, Inc. is the Fund's investment adviser.
Notes: Moved from the NYSE to the NASDAQ on 7/2/2012.
