Fund Description: Blackstone/GSO Strategic Credit Fund is an exchange-traded closed-end fund or a closed-end ETF that is officially described as a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The Blackstone/GSO Strategic Credit Fund seeks to provide high current income, with a secondary objective to seek preservation of capital, consistent with its primary goal of high current income. FUND STRATEGY: The Fund will seek to achieve its investment objectives by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of loans and other fixed income instruments of predominantly U.S. corporate issuers, including first- and second-lien secured loans (Senior Secured Loans) and high yield corporate bonds of varying maturities. Under normal market conditions, at least 80% of the Fund’s Managed Assets will be invested in credit investments comprised of corporate fixed income instruments and other investments (including derivatives) with similar economic characteristics. Managed Assets means the Fund’s net assets plus any borrowing for investment purposes, including effective leverage and traditional leverage. The fixed income instruments the Fund will invest in will typically be rated below investment grade or, if unrated, are considered by the Fund’s investment adviser, to be of comparable quality. Fixed income instruments that are rated below investment grade (commonly referred to as high yield or junk instruments) are regarded as having predominantly speculative characteristics with respect to the issuer’s capacity to pay interest and repay principal. FUND MANAGEMENT: GSO / Blackstone Debt Funds Management LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GSO Capital Partners LP, serves as the Fund's investment adviser and will be responsible for administrative and compliance oversight services to the Fund.
