FUND DESCRIPTION: Corporate High Yield Fund IV is a diversified, closed-end management investment company that seeks to provide stockholders with current income by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities which are rated in the lower rating categories of the established rating services (Ba or lower by Moody’s Investors Service, Inc. or BB or lower by Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services) or are unrated securities of comparable quality. The Fund also seeks to provide stockholders with capital appreciation. The Fund has entered into an Investment Advisory Agreement with Fund Asset Management, L.P. (FAM). The general partner of FAM is Princeton Services, Inc., an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., which is the limited partner.
