QUANTUMONLINE.COM SECURITY DESCRIPTION:  Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc., Strategic Return Notes linked to value of the Select Ten Index (AMEX: XST, starting value 89.23 as of 6/24/2003) due 6/27/2008, issued at $10 per Unit. The holder will receive no payments prior to maturity unless exchanged. At the maturity date of 6/27/2008 the holder will receive a cash payment of $9.90 times the difference in the Select 10 Index less an annual index adjustment factor of 1.5% per year, which can result in a payment of more or less, and possibly significantly less, than the original $10 investment. The Notes are exchangeable for cash at the holder’s option each June from 2004 through 2007. The Notes are senior unsecured debt securities issued by Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. and will rank equally with their other unsecured and unsubordinated debt.
