From the Form 8-K filed with the SEC on 7/25/2006 -- In accordance with that certain Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of March 6, 2006, by and among Shurgard Storage Centers, Inc., Public Storage, Inc. and ASKL Sub LLC, on July 23, 2006, Shurgard issued notice that it will redeem all outstanding shares of its 8.7% Series C Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, par value $0.001 per share and all outstanding shares of its 8.75% Series D Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, par value $0.001 per share, on August 22, 2006, provided that certain conditions in the Merger Agreement have been satisfied by that date.

QUANTUMONLINE.COM SECURITY DESCRIPTION:  Shurgard Storage Centers, 8.70% Series C Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, liquidation preference $25 per share, redeemable at the issuer's option on or after 12/08/2003 at $25 per share plus accrued and unpaid dividends, with no stated maturity, and with distributions of 8.70% ($2.175) per annum paid quarterly on 3/31, 6/30, 9/30 & 12/31 to holders of record on the 1st calendar day of the month in which the payment is due or on the date fixed by the board, not more than 30 days or less than 10 days prior to the payment date.
