Mar 3, 2004 -- Mississippi Power announced today the planned redemption on April 5, 2004 of all of the outstanding Depositary Preferred Shares representing the Mississippi Power Company 6.32% Preferred Stock and all of the outstanding Depositary Preferred Shares representing the Mississippi Power Company 6.65% Preferred Stock. Each Depositary Share represents one-fourth of a share of the applicable series of underlying Mississippi Power preferred stock. The redemption price for the Depositary Preferred Shares representing the Mississippi Power Company 6.32% Preferred Stock will be $25.50 per Depositary Preferred Share plus accrued and unpaid dividends thereon to the date of redemption. The redemption price for the Depositary Preferred Shares representing the Mississippi Power Company 6.65% Preferred Stock will be $25 per Depositary Preferred Share plus accrued and unpaid dividends thereon to the date of redemption.
