Notes: July 25, 2005 -- Scudder Intermediate Government & Agency Trust (NYSE:KGT) declared a distribution of $0.05 per share payable on July 28, 2005 to shareholders of record on July 27, 2005. The Ex-date is July 25, 2005. At their annual meeting on June 24, 2005, the shareholders of the Trust approved the merger of the Trust into the Scudder U.S. Government Securities Fund, an open-end investment company managed by Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc., which also manages the Trust. The closing of the merger is scheduled to take place on July 29, 2005 after the close of business. On the closing of the merger, all assets of the Trust will be transferred to the Fund and, in exchange, the Fund will assume all liabilities of the Trust and will deliver to the Trust, for distribution to the Trust's shareholders, Class M shares of the Fund having a net asset value equal to the value of the assets transferred less the liabilities assumed, as described more fully in the prospectus/proxy statement for the merger. Class M shares of the Fund issues in connection with the merger will be reflected on the books of the Fund the first business day following the closing of the merger.
