Notes: The Brazil Fund, Inc. (NYSE: BZF) announced Wednesday that on June 9, 2006 it will pay a single liquidating distribution to stockholders pursuant to the Fund’s plan of liquidation and dissolution. The Fund today clarified that any person purchasing shares prior to the close of business on June 2, 2006 will receive the distribution. Such purchases will settle in the normal course until the close of business on June 9, 2006, at which time the transfer agent will close the books of the Fund. Shareholders of record as of the close of business on June 9, 2006 will be entitled to receive the liquidating distribution.
