The redemption price is $25.00 per share plus accrued and unpaid distributions of $0.440625 per share.

QUANTUMONLINE.COM SECURITY DESCRIPTION: BNY Capital III, 7.05% Preferred Securities, Series D, liquidation amount $25 per share, guaranteed by The Bank of New York Co., Inc. (NYSE: BK), redeemable at the issuer's option on or after 3/24/2003 at $25 per share plus accrued and unpaid dividends, maturing 3/01/2028 which may be extended to 3/01/2047, distributions of 7.05% per annum are paid quarterly on 3/1, 6/1, 9/1 & 12/1 to holders of record one business day prior to the payment date while the securities remain in book-entry form. The company has the right, at any time, to defer interest payments for up to 20 consecutive quarters (but not beyond the maturity date). The trust's assets consist of the 7.05% Junior Subordinated Deferrable Interest Debentures, Series D due 3/01/2028 which may be extended to 3/01/2047, which were purchased from the company using the funds generated from the sale of the trust preferred securities.
