Many users like to print the information that QOL provides. The Income Investments page below includes our first printer friendly page to make the printing process easier and the results more useful. To use the printer friendly page, just click on the link at the top of the Income Investments page. That will produce the printer friendly page that can be readily printed using your browser's print feature. We will be making all of the information pages printer friendly as soon as we can get to them.
10-06-2003 The Income Investments page was added to the Stock Lists page
We have added the Income Investments page which provides some fairly detailed descriptions of all of types on income investments covered by QuantumOnline that are available to the income investor. This page should be helpful to both an investor new to income investing and to the experienced income investor who would like an overall summary of the types of income investments that are available together with a summary of their investment attributes.
9-24-2003 The Distribution Dates link changed from Yahoo to MarketWatch
Yahoo! removed the ex-dividend dates from their detailed quotes when they recently changed formats on their detailed quotes. Therefore we have changed the Distribution Dates link over to MarketWatch which does offer the latest ex-dividend date and the current yield among other information for NYSE and NYSE Amex securities only. They do not offer ex-dividend dates for Nasdaq, OTCBB or Pink Sheets securities. If anyone has a more comprehensive source for ex-dividend dates, please let us know.
6-06-2003 A Table listing All Preferred Securities has been added.
We have added a table that lists all of the the preferred securities covered by QuantumOnline.com including regular preferred stocks, trust preferreds and convertible preferreds. The table was added in response to user requests.
5-30-2003 A Search for All Securities of a Parent Company has been added.
We have added a search that will locate and provide a list of all securities related to an individual parent company. To obtain a list of the securities related to a given parent company, go to the parent company's page using either the Search page or the "Goto Parent Company's Record" link provided on individual securities. Then, click on the "Find All Related Securities for ???" link to display the list of related securities.
5-21-2003 Sorts by Credit Ratings were added to all tables.
We have added a sort by Moodys credit ratings to all tables. Moodys ratings were selected for the sort as we have more Moodys Ratings than S&P ratings. S&P ratings are used for the sort when there is an S&P rating but no Moodys rating for the security.
5-17-2003 A Table of Potential Tax Exempt Securities has been added.
As Congress now appears more likely to pass some sort of tax exempt dividend bill, we have added a table of potential tax exempt preferred securities for those who would like to study up on these securities in case the bill actually becomes law.
5-14-2003 A Table of Mandatory Convertible Securities has been added.
The Mandatory Convertible Securities table has been added to the website with more than 60 securities listed. These securities had formerly been listed on the Special Investment Products List.
5-03-2003 The Asset-Backed Securities have been moved to the Fixed Income Securities Table.
The asset-backed income securities have been moved from the Special Investment Products category to the Fixed Income Securities category and have been added to the comprehensive Fixed Income Securities Table (renamed from the Preferred & Income Securities Table) which now includes all fixed income securities covered by QuantumOnline.
4-30-2003 Four Special Investment Products Sublists have been added.
These four new sublists subdivide the securities included on the comprehensive Special Investment Products List into four separate categories for ease of reference.
4-23-2003 Credit Ratings have been added to the tables.
We have added Moodys credit ratings to the Preferred Stock tables and will add rating to all tables in a day or two.
4-04-2003 Lists of Closed-End Funds by subcategory have been added.
Ten lists of Closed-End Funds by subcategory have been added to the Stock Lists page. The subcategories are QuantunOnline's own selected categories and include Taxable Income Funds, Federal Tax-Exempt Funds, State Tax-Exempt Funds, Global Income Funds, High Yield Income Funds, High Yield Tax-Exempt Income Funds, Preferred Income Funds, Total Return Funds, Capital Appreciation Funds and Global Capital Appreciation Funds.
4-01-2003 Sorting of all tables by nine data categories has been added.
The six tables can now be sorted by nine data categories including ticker symbol, security description, IPO Date, Redemption (or Call) Date, Maturity Date, Liquidation Preference, Call Price, Distribution Rate in %, and Distribution Dates. Sorting of the tables has been one of the most constant requests from website users and it is now available. Go to the Stock Lists page and scroll down to the Income Securities Tables to see the available sorts.
3-27-2003 The QuantumOnline Glossary has been added.
This QuantumOnline glossary defines at least most of the special income investing terms used on the QuantumOnline website.
3-19-2003 The What's in the Works page has been added.
This page provides users with information on what projects we are working on right now and what projects we are considering for the future.
3-15-2003 Regular Preferred and Trust Preferred Tables have been added.
Both a regular preferred stock table and a trust preferred securities table have been added. These two security classifications have been and are still included in the Preferred Stocks Table but the two new tables provide the opportunity to research to two security types separately.
3-14-2003 An Asset-Backed Securities Table has been added.
An asset-backed securities table has been added which contains detailed comparison information on the over 160 asset-backed securities which trade on the major stock markets. These securities are similar to preferred stocks except that most of them pay distributions on a semi-annual basis rather than quarterly.
3-11-2003 A Convertible Securities Table has been added.
A convertible securities table has been added which contains detailed information on the approximately 150 convertible preferreds and convertible debt securities which trade on the major stock markets. The table includes a column that gives the conversion ratio in shares and the conversion price in addition to the same data included on the Preferred Stocks Table.
3-06-2003 The QuantumOnline.com Supporter pages went online.
To permit QuantumOnline user's to provide support for the continuing efforts necessary to maintain and upgrade the QuantumOnline.com website, we placed online the QuantumOnline Supporter pages. And believe it or not, this idea was suggested by quite a number of website users over the last 18 months.
3-02-2003 Annual Distribution Amounts have been added to the Tables.
At a user's request, we have added the annual distribution amount to the tables - in addition to the distribution percentage were had previously provided. In the user's words, "It's true you can do the math and find the amount but I guess I'd rather have the computer do that".
2-18-2003 Links to Historical Price Charts have been added to the Tables.
We have added a link labeled "Chart" under the Exchange designation. Now, clicking on the Exchange produces a quote while clicking on the "Chart" produces a historical price chart from the appropriate exchange. The charts are for varying periods depending on the source.
2-11-2003 A Link to the Yahoo Detailed Quotes has been added to the Tables.
We have added a link to the Yahoo Detailed Quotes as part on the Distribution Dates in the Preferred Stocks Table and Debt Securities Table. The purpose of this link is to provide easy access to Yahoo detailed quotes which, among other things, offer the security's latest distribution payment date and the record date.
1-22-2003 A Page of Basic Information for Income Investors has been added to the Stock Lists page.
We have added a page that provides answers to some of the basic questions we receive from income investors. We plan to add information to the page whenever we receive new questions or run across new subjects that should be covered.
1-12-2003 A List of Potential Preferreds with Tax Exempt Dividends has been added to the Stock Lists page.
We have added a list of securities that are potentially those securities that will have tax exempt dividends. NOTE: Until a bill is passed by Congress and signed by the President there is no final criteria on which dividends will qualify as tax exempt.
1-02-2003 A Convertible Preferred Securities List has been added to the Stock Lists page.
We have added a list of Convertible Preferred Stocks to the Stock Lists page which should include at least most of the convertible preferreds trading on the stock exchanges.
12-14-2002 A Business Development Co. Income Securities List has been added to the Stock Lists page.
We have added a list of Business Development Companies to the Stock Lists page. These companies offer a category of income securities, with good dividend payments, that are attractive to investor since, like REITS, they are required to pay out most of their income to investors and are therefore exempt from double taxation.

We have added a list of Royalty Trust Income Securities to the Stock Lists page. These are a category of income securities, with variable dividend payments generally based on the oil and gas production of specified properties, that could be of interest to income investors.

We have added a list of Asset Backed Income Securities to the Stock Lists page. These are a category of Special Wall Street Products that could be of interest to income investors.

2-21-2002 Call Prices have been added to the Preferred Stocks Table.
We have added Call Prices to the Preferred Stocks Table. The call prices shown correspond to the redemption date shown in the following column. Most recently issued preferreds including essentially all trust preferreds have call prices that are identical to the liquidation preference. The older, regular preferreds have call prices that are above the liquidation amount and those are the ones where these new call prices have significance.
2-18-2002 CUSIP Numbers have been added to the Tables and our Output Pages.
We have added CUSIP numbers to the the Preferred Stocks Table, Debt Securities Table and to the output page from our Search page. We have also completed adding CUSIP numbers to the records of all preferred stocks, debt securities and special products as of 2/25/2002 (with a few exceptions that are marked "n.a" where we have not as yet found the CUSIP number for those securities). If anyone has CUSIP numbers for these n.a. securities, please email us with the information.
2-18-2002 Security Lists are now Sorted by Security Name.
This revision means that the Security Tables are now sorted by the security Symbol while the Security Lists are sorted by the security Name. Keep this in mind when you are looking for a particular security. If you have difficulty finding the security by symbol in a table, try looking for it by name in a list. One other tip in finding securities is to use your browser's search feature to locate them in the lists or tables. To move quickly up and down the lists, remember that you can use the page up and page down buttons. You can also click and hold on the scroll bar position indicator at the right of the screen and then drag the indicator up or down to move quickly up and down the list or table.
2-16-2002 Securities in the Tables now have Links to their Parent Company's Records.
All securities in the Preferred Stocks and Debt Securities Tables now have a link to the record of their parent company. The link is on the record produced by clicking on the security's symbol in the table. In particular, QuantumOnline users will have ready access to the business description of the parent company and all the links to online information and contact information for the parent company. The few securities without links are those securities whose parent companies are private companies or foreign companies whose common stock does not trade on the U.S. markets.
2-05-2002 Preferred Calls and Preferreds with Dividends Suspended now show in the Tables.
We now indicate the preferreds that have been called by showing a "Called for" and the call date in the Redemption Date column of the Preferred Stocks table and the Debt Securities Table. We also indicate the Preferreds that have suspended their dividends with a "Suspended" in the Distribution Dates column. In both cases, we indicate only those securities that we are aware of. If you know of additional securities not correctly marked, please let us know via email. We have a half a dozen users currently advising us of calls but would be happy to hear from more of you.
1-29-2002 File Names Changed for the Preferred Stocks and Debt Securities Tables.
We have changed the file names for the Preferred Stocks Table and the Debt Securities Table. The change allows us more flexibility in our future programming by using a separate program for each table. The change will affect users only if you have bookmarked the tables and go directly to them. We really suggest that you bookmark the Stock Lists page and enter the website at that point. The file name of the Stock Lists page should remain the same and you will also keep up with whether any additional lists, pages, etc. have been added to the site. We will also maintain the correct links from this page to any of our lists or pages.
1-25-2002 Bank Holding Companies list and Banks list added.
These lists of 800+ bank holding companies and 110+ banks that have not formed holding companies have been added to make information on bank stocks easily accessible for those who are interested. Common stock dividends from bank stocks can provide another income investment possibility as an alternative to fixed income securities.

We added this page to provide answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we receive from QuantumOnline users.
1-23-2002 The Securities with Distributions Suspended List added.
We added an initial list of six securities whose distributions have been suspended and expect to add more securities in the near future. The list should be interesting to income investors solely for background and educational purposes.

1-14-2002 Returned Emails
We changed the email address (not voluntarily) on January 4th that receives all of the emails from the feedback page, the guest book page and the direct emails to comments@QuantumOnline.com. At that time we changed the settings for the comments@QuantumOnline.com direct emails but forgot about changing the feedback page and the guest book page settings. Ten days later it dawned on us why we were getting so few emails from the website. As soon as we figured this out, we changed the settings on the feedback and guest book pages and the emails started arriving again. So if you sent us an email during that time and had it returned, we apologize. If you can, please send us the email again as we do welcome these communications.

The page provides website users with explanations of many of the acronyms used in our tables, lists, security names and security descriptions involving preferred and debt securities. This page lists over 1000 of the Initial Public Offering (IPO) dates of all preferred and debt securities from the most recent IPOs to many IPOs extending back to the 1930's.
11-27-2001 Issues Called for Redemption page added.
This page lists preferred or debt issues that have been called for redemption. We add issues to the list only when we happen to run across them so the list is not comprehensive but only informative. We also welcome input from website users to let us know of other called issues that are not listed.

The Debt Securities Table was added to provide more detailed information on the individual debt securities issues.

The Debt Securities List was added to include the many debentures, notes and bonds that should be of interest to income investors as they resemble preferred stocks in terms of security of investment, quarterly distributions, $25 denominations, etc.

The Preferred Stocks Table was added to the website with about 200 preferred stock listings in the initial table. This table was designed to provide more detailed information on each preferred issue than that provided by the Preferred Stocks List.
