BUSINESS: UBS ETRACS CMCI Long Platinum Total Return ETN due 5/14/2018 are senior unsecured debt securities issued by UBS AG who is offering and selling the Medium-Term Notes, Series A of Exchange Traded Access Securities (ETRACS). INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The UBS ETRACS CMCI Long Platinum Total Return ETN is designed to track the performance of the UBS Bloomberg CMCI Platinum Total Return (the Index), less investor fees. INDEX DESCRIPTION: The UBS Bloomberg CMCI Platinum Total Return is a sub-index of the UBS Bloomberg Constant Maturity Commodity Index (the CMCI) and measures the collateralized returns from a basket of platinum futures contracts. The Index is designed to be representative of the entire liquid forward curve of the platinum contracts. The level of the Index and therefore the Securities, generally increases as the price of platinum increases and decreases as the price of platinum decreases. The Index, which is rebalanced monthly, is comprised of the platinum futures contracts eligible for inclusion in the CMCI with a single target maturity of three months. The Index is a total return index and the overall return on the Index is generated by two components: (i) uncollateralized returns on the platinum futures contracts comprising the Index and (ii) a daily fixed-income return, which reflects the interest earned on a hypothetical 91-day Treasury Bill portfolio theoretically deposited as margin for hypothetical positions in the futures contracts comprising the Index. The Index was designed by UBS and Bloomberg and is calculated by Bloomberg. RETURNS AND MATURITY: The cash settlement amount on the Maturity Date, June 14, 2018, you will receive a cash payment per $25 Principal Amount of your Securities equal to the Current Principal Amount as of the Final Valuation Date. The Securities are not suitable for all investors. In particular, the Securities should be purchased only by knowledgable investors who understand the consequences of seeking compounded daily returns linked to either an unequal combination of combined long and short, or inverse, investment results and who intend to actively monitor and manage their investments. REDEMPTION AND FEES: You may elect to require UBS to redeem your Securities, in whole or in part, on any Redemption Date prior to the Maturity Date commencing on May 30, 2008 through and including the final Redemption Date, subject to the minimum redemption amount of at least 100,000 Securities ($2,500,000 aggregate principal amount) and to your compliance with the procedures. Upon early redemption, you will receive per Security a cash payment on the relevant Redemption Date equal to the Current Principal Amount as of the applicable Valuation Date, minus the Redemption Fee Amount. The Fee Amount on the Initial Trade Date will equal zero. On each subsequent calendar day until maturity, early redemption or call, the Fee Amount will equal the product of (i) 0.65% divided by 365 times (ii) the Current Principal Amount for that series on the previous calendar day. Because the Fee Amount is calculated and subtracted from the Current Principal Amount on a daily basis, the net effect of the Fee Amount accumulates over time.
