QUANTUMONLINE.COM SECURITY DESCRIPTION:  Citigroup Funding Inc., Portfolio Income Strategic Opportunity Notes (PISTONS) based on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) S&P 500 BuyWrite Index, due 9/23//2010, and issued at $10 per note. The CBOE S&P 500 BuyWrite Index measures the total rate of return of a buy-write, or covered call, strategy on the S&P 500 Index. The monthly payments of the PISTONS, for any month, will vary and will be based on 8% per annum of the net investment value of the PISTONS on the 1st trading day of the month. The net investment value of the PISTONS will be published by the Chicago Board Options Exchange under the symbol PCJ. The PISTONS are redeemable for cash at the holder’s option during the first 5 trading days of each month based on the net investment value on the fifth trading day of that month, less a redemption adjustment amount. The initial net investment value for the PISTONS is $9.775. At the maturity date of 9/23/2010, if not redeemd earlier, the holder will receive a maturity payment equal to the net investment value of the PISTONS on the fifth trading day prior to the maturity date. The PISTONS are not principal protected and the maturity payment may be less, and possibly significantly less, than the original $10 investment.
