INDEX DESCRIPTION: The S&P Developed Ex-U.S. BMI Financials Sector Index tracks the financial sector of developed global markets outside the United States. The approach is designed to provide portfolios with low portfolio turnover, accurate tracking, and lower costs. The Index captures the full universe of institutionally investable stocks in developed and emerging markets with float-adjusted market capitalizations of at least $100 million. As of December 31, 2008, the Financial Index consisted of companies from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The Fund does not intend to purchase all of the securities in the Index, but rather will utilize a sampling methodology in seeking the Fund's objective. The quantity of holdings in the Fund will be based on a number of factors, including asset size of the Fund. The Fund is expected to hold less than the total number of securities in the Index, but reserves the right to hold as many securities as it believes necessary to achieve the Fund's investment objective. The Adviser will normally invest at least 80% of the Fund's assets in the securities of companies in the Index and/or ADRs or GDRs.
