(NYSE: NEM), due 3/31/2005, and issued at $10 per ELKS. The ELKS pay a total of $0.70 in cash composed of $0.1146 in interest and $0.5854 in option premium, payable in part on 9/30/2004 and in part on 3/31/2005. At maturity the holder will receive either $10 in cash or 0.22119 shares of Newmont Mining common stock if the price of Newmont Mining common stock at any time before maturity is less than or equal to $33.91 (approximately 75% of the initial share price).
