On November 22, 2011, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, in its capacity as initial depositor, notified NYSE Regulation, Inc. of its decision to effect an early termination, effective December 23, 2011, of 11 HOLDRS Trusts (including this HOLDRS Trust). Accordingly, NYSE Arca anticipates suspending trading in each of the 11 HOLDRS issues prior to the opening of business on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 (the next business day following the termination date). Open orders will be canceled at such time.

QUANTUMONLINE.COM SECURITY DESCRIPTION: Merrill Lynch Telecom HOLDRS (HOLding Company Depositary ReceiptS) Trust Depositary Receipts representing shares of common stock issued by companies generally considered to be involved in various segments of the telecommunications industry. The underlying securities are the common stocks of a group of specified companies that, at the time of selection, were involved in various segments of the telecommunications industry and whose common stock is registered under section 12 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The issuers of the underlying securities were as of December 15, 1999, among the largest capitalized and most liquid companies in the telecommunications industry as measured by market capitalization and trading volume. There are currently 14 companies included in the Telecom HOLDRS, which may change as a result of reconstitution events, distributions of securities by underlying issuers or other events. The Telecom HOLDRS trust was formed under the depositary trust agreement, dated as of January 24, 2000 among The Bank of New York, as trustee, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, other depositors and the owners of the Telecom HOLDRS, and was amended on November 22, 2000.
