QUANTUMONLINE.COM SECURITY DESCRIPTION:  Wells Fargo & Co., Callable Notes, due 8/25/2009, linked to the S&P 500 Index, and issued in $1000 denominations. The notes pay no interest or other payments prior to maturity. The notes are redeemable at the issuer's option on or after 8/29/2005 at $1190 which rises to $1475 at the maturity date (see schedule on page S-6 of the prospectus). At the maturity date of 8/25/2009 the notes will pay a minimum of the $1,000 principal amount plus an additional amount based on the increase, if any. In the S&P 500 Index. The additional amount will be based on the final level of the S&P 500 Index compared to the initial level of the Index (993.06 at 8/22/2003). The Notes are senior unsecured debt securities of Wells Fargo & Co. and will rank equally with all existing and future unsecured and unsubordinated indebtedness of the company..
