QUANTUMONLINE.COM SECURITY DESCRIPTION:  Wachovia Corp., ASTROS (ASseT Return Obligation Securities) notes, linked to Metals-China Basket, due 1/28/2009, and issued at $1000 per ASTROS. The notes will receive no payments before maturity and are not redeemable prior to maturity. At maturity the holder will receive a payment based on the percentage change in the equally weighted basket including the FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index and four metals commodities: copper, lead, nickel and zinc, less an adjustment factor. At maturity, if the basket level has increased, the maturity payment will be $1000 times the adjusted basket ending index level minus the starting basket level divided by the starting basket level. The adjustment factor will be 93.2341% at the valuation date of 1/21/2009. If the basket level has decreased, the basket performance amount will be zero and the holder will receive their $1000 principal amount.
