FUND DESCRIPTION: Van Kampen Municipal Opportunity Trust II is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to provide a high level of current income exempt from federal income tax, consistent with preservation of capital. Notes: Jan. 30, 2006 -- Van Kampen Asset Management announced today that the proposed reorganization of Van Kampen Municipal Opportunity Trust II (NYSE/CHX: VOT) into Van Kampen Advantage Municipal Income Trust II (AMEX/CHX: VKI) has been completed. In the reorganization, shareholders of VOT received newly issued shares of VKI. The conversion exchange rate (the rate by which one multiplies the amount of VOT common shares to determine the number of VKI common shares issued as part of the reorganization) was 1.025341, and the exchange ratio between preferred shares of VOT and preferred shares of VKI was one VOT preferred share into one VKI preferred share.
