FUND DESCRIPTION: The Latin American Discovery Fund, Inc. is an exchange-traded closed-end fund or a closed-end ETF which is officially described as a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The Latin American Discovery Fund, Inc. seeks long-term capital appreciation. FUND STRATEGY: The Fund seeks to achieve its objective through investments primarily in equity securities of Latin American issuers and in debt securities of a Latin American government or government entity. The Fund may invest in common and preferred stocks, bonds, notes or debentures convertible into common or preferred stock, stock purchases, warrants or rights, equity investments in trusts and partnerships, ADRs or GDRs, and occasionally in debt securities issued or guaranteed by a Latin American government or government entity. Under normal market conditions, at least 55% of the Fund's total assets will be invested in equity securities of issuers in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. The Fund may enter into hedging transactions. The Fund's benchmark is the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Emerging Markets Free Latin America Index, a broad based market cap weighted composite index covering at least 60% of markets in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Mexico and Venezuela. The Index takes into account local market restrictions for specific securities or classes of shares that may be excluded from or limited for foreign investor ownership. The Fund may invest, from time to time in various sectors, such as airlines, beverages, chemicals, commercial banks, diversified telecommunication services, food and staples retailing, electric utilities, food products and diversified financial services. FUND MANAGEMENT: Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc. serves as the investment advisor to the Fund. Morgan Stanley Investment Management Limited will serve as sub-advisor to the Fund.

Notes: Nov 20, 2018 -- The Latin American Discovery Fund, Inc. (NYSE:LDF) announced today that the net asset value per share of the Fund for purposes of calculating the final liquidating distribution to stockholders was $12.1745 as of November 16, 2018. The Fund expects to make a final liquidating distribution on or about November 23, 2018 to those stockholders who held shares of the Fund as of the Effective Date. ____________ August 07, 2018 -- The Latin American Discovery Fund, Inc. (NYSE:LDF) announced today that its Board of Directors approved the liquidation and dissolution of the Fund, subject to stockholder approval at the meeting of stockholders to be held on October 19, 2018.
