Aug. 30, 2005 -- Bank of America Corporation as successor to Fleet Boston Financial Corporation announced the redemption of its 8.80 percent Trust Originated Preferred Securities issued by Fleet Capital Trust VI. The redemption date will be September 30, 2005, with a redemption price of $25 per security plus accrued and unpaid distributions, if any, up to but excluding the redemption date of September 30, 2005. The regular quarterly interest distribution of $0.55 will be paid on September 30, 2005 to holders of record on September 29, 2005

QUANTUMONLINE.COM SECURITY DESCRIPTION: Fleet Capital Trust VI, 8.80% Trust Originated Preferred Securities (TOPrS), liquidation amount $25 per share, guaranteed by FleetBoston Financial Corp. (NYSE: FBF), redeemable at the issuer's option on or after 6/30/2005 at $25 per share plus accrued and unpaid dividends, maturing 6/30/2030, distributions of 8.80% ($2.20) per annum are paid quarterly on 3/31, 6/30, 9/30 & 12/31 to holders of record one business day prior to the payment date while the securities remain in book-entry form. The company has the right, at any time, to defer dividend payments for up to 20 consecutive quarters (but not beyond the maturity date). The trust's assets consist of the 8.80% Junior Subordinated Deferrable Interest Debentures due 6/30/2030 which were purchased from the company using the funds generated from the sale of the trust preferred securities.
