April 7, 2003-- FleetBoston today announced that on May 8, 2003 it will redeem for cash all outstanding preferred securities of its Fleet Capital Trust I 8.00% Trust Preferred Securities (TOPrS) (NYSE: FBF pr H). The redemption price will be $25.00 per Preferred Security plus accrued distributions to the date of redemption of $0.21112 per $25.00. Currently $83.75 million of such Trust I TOPrS are outstanding.
