FUND DESCRIPTION: Eaton Vance Senior Income Trust is a closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to provide a high level of current income, consistent with the preservation of capital, by investing primarily in senior secured floating rate loans. Senior Loans are made to corporations, partnerships and other business entities which operate in various industries and geographical regions. Senior Loans pay interest at rates which are redetermined periodically on the basis of a floating base lending rate plus a premium. Senior Loans hold the most senior position in the capital structure of the Borrower, are secured with specific collateral and will have a claim on the assets of the Borrower that is senior to that of subordinated debt, preferred stock and common stock of the Borrower. The Trust's investment adviser is Eaton Vance Management.
