FUND DESCRIPTION: Eaton Vance Tax-Advantaged Global Dividend Opportunities Fund is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide a high level of after-tax total return. The Fund's return is expected to consist primarily of tax-advantaged dividend income and capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the Fund will invest at least 80% of its total managed assets in dividend-paying common and preferred stocks of U.S. and foreign issuers that are eligible to pay dividends that qualify for federal income taxation at 15%. During periods of high or rising concern about inflation, the Fund may emphasize investments in common stocks of issuers whose businesses are related to "hard assets," such as energy, other natural resources and real estate. The Fund may invest in common and preferred stocks of both U.S. and foreign issuers. Under normal market conditions, the Fund will invest at least 25% of its total managed assets in the securities of U.S. issuers and at least 35% of its total managed assets in the securities of issuers located in countries other than the United States. The Fund may invest up to 15% of its total managed assets in issuers located in emerging market countries. The Fund's investment adviser is Eaton Vance Management.
