QUANTUMONLINE.COM SECURITY DESCRIPTION:  Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc., Strategic Return Notes linked to value of the Select Ten Index (AMEX: XST, starting value 85.24 as of 10/30/2001) due 11/02/2006, issued at $10 per Unit. The holder will receive no payments prior to maturity unless exchanged. At the maturity date of 11/02/2006 the holder will receive a cash payment of $9.90 times the difference in the Select Ten Index less an annual index adjustment factor of 1.5% per year, which can result in a payment of more or less than the original $10 investment. The Notes are also exchangeable at the holder’s option each October between 2002 and 2005. The Notes are senior unsecured debt securities issued by Merrill Lynch & Co.
